And So It Goes
The semester has ended, and Jimmy has departed for the last time. He will not be returning next year, so this blog is dead. It has been an interesting ride.
I had not posted any new entries since April 22nd, but contrary to rumors, I did not stop because Jimmy asked me to, or because of any other outside pressure to do so. I found that all the recent entries were of the following types:
- Jimbo comes back from his weekend sabbatical
- Jim does the following:
- Sleeps late
- Surfs the Internet
- Skips class
- Doesn't shower
- James leaves for the weekend
There are only so many ways to make something like that funny, and I was having a harder and harder time finding new ways to describe how my roommate literally did nothing all day long. Many people thought I made things up for this blog, but I didn't; all of it happened, and with the exception of some minor poetic license, none of it was fabricated in my imagination.
Jimbo left behind:
- 1 Disney Princesses poster, hanging faithfully on his closet door
- 8 hangers, neglected in the closet
- 1 stack of notes from a Philosophy class last semester
- 1 bright yellow t-shirt, guaranteed to scorch your retinas
Those last 2 items were left behind, because in typical Jimmy fashion, my roommate felt it would be too time consuming to check his drawers before departing.
Despite the fact that my roommate was told about this blog more than two months ago, he never said anything about it, and it never compelled him to go to class, wash his sheets, or even take a trip to visit the shower monster. If there was a contest for the laziest person in the world, I think Jimbo probably could have won it without breaking a sweat (because I don't think he's ever broken a sweat before in his life.
If anyone who read this would like their own RoommateBlog, hosted for free on this site, or knows of anybody who has a roommate worthy of being the subject of a blog, e-mail me, and I'll get you set up.
Thank you to all who have read this blog over its four month lifespan. This is the end; my Jimmy has gone for good. Let's party!

Count Jimmy
As my alarm goes off to wake me up for class, James gets up from his computer and stumbles into bed. He is becoming nocturnal, and I fear he may, in fact, be a vampire. I guess it's time to replace that hanger I keep under my pillow with a wooden stake.

Jimmy's New Game
Jim has found a new game to play. Need for Speed Underground now occupies his every waking moment from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed. At least he's keeping himself occupied, though a shower break would not necessarily be a bad thing every once in a while.

Gone Again
Jimmy finally departed. He was getting dangerously close to being here on a Saturday. Strangely enough, he made up his bed before he left, which is something he never does normally. He's usually lucky if his sheets haven't rebelled and ran away while he's sleeping at night. They usually try to escape to the washing machine, because, though they've never been there before, they hear it is a wonderfully refreshing place. Unfortunately, they never seem to make it before Jimmy wakes up.
Still Here
Jimbo is still here. He has never stayed past noon on a Friday, but he shows no signs of leaving anytime soon. Could he be trying to break his streak of never staying over the weekend?

Jimmy's Long Weekend
Jimbo just packed up all his clothes and left for the weekend again. I guess the stress of the second half of the semester has just gotten to him so much that he needs to take 3 day weekends in order to recover. Sleeping 12 hours a day, and then strenuously studying eBay while simultaneously watching wresting on TV every day must be very exhausting. I'm glad my life isn't that hard.

Super Jimmy
Spring break must have given Jimmy a new perspective on life. He seems truly inspired as he takes multitasking to a new level - watching TV, reading the Internet, talking on Yahoo Messenger, and taking a nap all at the same time. I wish I had the stamina to try something like that. It's like he's a superhero or something.

He has Returned
Jimbo is back, with a new tan, implying that he did something over spring break. For some reason, I am a little surprised; maybe it's the fact that I have never actually seen him outside of the dorm. I was really starting to miss him. I almost had to start making up stuff to put in new blog entries, but I think the truth makes a good enough story as it is.

Vanished
In the 15 minutes between when I left to take a shower and when I returned, James managed to wake up, pack his clothes (by zipping his duffel bag), and leave. I guess he wanted to get an early start on the rest and relaxation of spring break, after a hard week of rest and relaxation. He has a hard life.

Boring Blog
Jimmy hasn't looked at this blog in more than a day now. He probably has more pressing matters to attend to, rather than wasting time reading what some guy writes about his roommate. He has important classes to skip!
