Fuzzy Jimmy Logic

I still can't understand why James leaves every Friday and comes back every Sunday or Monday. If he has such pressing matters at home that he needs to return there every single weekend, why not stay there all the time? I guess he doesn't want to miss sleeping thorough class every morning. Likewise, why not stick around here on weekends? Perhaps he thinks the weekends are boring here; with everyone just surfing the Internet and watching TV all day, I can see how he would feel very out of place here over the weekend. The Jimmy-logic escapes me sometimes.
